The unfolding global and economic recession has seen many current account deficits snapping back into surplus in a short space of time - but South Africa is not among those economies. South Africa's current account deficit widened in the first quarter of 2009 according to the SA Reserve Bank Quarterly Bulletin released on Thursday.
