document.write("They must stick to this Diet for Government functions unless its those paid for workshops, seminars, Conferences etc if they didn't pay for the meals. Unless the food is sponsored. It was so funny at one organisation people used to say its just food- BUT it does not come cheap or free. A plate costs around R280, a cup of tea R18 a muffin R12 and imagine from breakfast to lunch how much of Tax-payers' money is wasted??? Even after this recession people must lear to pay for their meals. document.write("What amazes me is that this practice was ever allowed.  The money collected is taxpayers money, to be used for the betterment of all citizens in SA - not to be used to lavishly feed the few in government!<br /><br />My company certainly doesn't provide lunch, nor do most other companies I know of.  They may have a canteen where food is subsidised, but certainly not where you get three course meals for free!<br /><br />Even when we are away on conferences, or at meetings, we get sandwiches and tea / coffee - certainly not full meals... if we did the company would be close to bankruptcy!<br /><br />It's about time that government starts to look after ALL the people, not just those in government positions!  No wonder so many of them are grossly obese (as you see at the opening of parliament for example) - both men and women are hugely overweight - on our taxpayers money that should be used on education, healthcare, housing, etc. for the poor....
