I heard the recorded transrcipt of the incident on the news. Pretorius was belligerent and aggressive. Seconds before his now infamous statement, Mboweni even went so far as to say that he has known Pretorius for a while and respects him...only to be shouted down. I will agree that Mboweni could have chosen a better retort, but all things considered he wasn't racist. The only outcome of Pretorius' bunfight is that it shows Pretorius himself as a petty and petulant individual who couldn't think of a comeback at the time and now needs to fight his battle in the media. There's an adage about wrestling with pigs.
