Jimmy Manyi is a fool
");
document.write("Does he think that a mere 14 years is sufficient time to reverse Apartheid?
Saying that because most top management is White means that everyone's racist is foolish thinking. All it means is that there are as yet insufficiently skilled Blacks who can fulfill those roles. Some of those spots require years of experience & training.
Most companies are desperate for skills - and don't give a damn whether your black, white, blue or orange - as long as you can do the job!
Furthermore, the most overt racism in action today is BEE. Reserving jobs for blacks is not necessary (and, indeed, counter-productive) in a country with a massive skills shortage.
Of course, Mr Manyi doesn't appear to believe that there is a skills shortage..... Daniel Garratt");

Surely its time for the blacks to take accountability, rise to the challange, via application, and when ready, then step up to the plate. Its all too easy to give 'hand outs', but if production and growth are thwarted because of percentage racism, then the whole country suffers, and more so the blacks. I cannot believe that 14 years into your democracy, these quota percentage's, as in your sport, still exist, are blacks not able to grip the rod and fish for them selves? . Shake My head");

We would advertise, phone high and low and try and headhunt but unfortunately most time we were not successful as the guys we need are still at university, but hey lets throw reality out the window and rather call it racism - much easier to make an impression!. I think this whole thing is messed up from top to Bottom.
The focus and emphasis has been on re-distribution and nonsense like that totally disregarding crucial factors such as skills and experience.
It takes a wee bit of a while for an entire generation to skip skills discrepancies.
The focus should be on training and skilling.
Another crucial factor that has been over-looked is that BEE denies certain people opportunity.
The unfortunate aspect of this is that the same people that are marginalised are the skilled and more educated class.
I could go on about this but it would just be another rant and rave.
Basic Economic Factors are totally diregarded.Opportunity has a knock-on Ripple or Domino effect.
Meaning that positioning a skilled chap appropriately will create opportunity for at least 3 unskilled fellows.
This is in regard to cheap labour due to high unemployment as a result of skills shortage.
Essentially BEE is actually illegal from a technical point of view and is a breach of our constitutional law,..not because the idea is wrong,..but simply because it's implemented poorly,..and very short-sightedly.It's not a well refined concept.
Analysing the entire thing,..I have discovered that it ia actually full of loop-holes that leave it open to abuse.
The good news,..or bad,..depending on how one chooses to look at it,..is that anyone regardless of colour can make a fortune off this thing.. Pappa");
