VOTE FOR ANC!!!

if you think it can't get any worse - look at zim - its exactly where we're heading, looking at our current government.

They only do things that have financial benefit for them. So please stop pretending that only the politicians are morally corrupt and self-serving. How many of the more fortunate South Africans even gives R100 a month to support a charity trying to uplift the poor, look after orphans, raise HIV/Aids awareness etc? The whole world still lives by the motto every man for himself.
We need realise that we are all part of the human race and that only through education and improving the circumstances of the poor will we eradicate crime.

It is easy to stand on a stage and blame people and organizations, but what are they doing? What are we doing? Is it truly every man for himself ? I do not think so we are too interconnected.
My point of view is that all restricting laws and acceptable behaviors should go, ie. BEE, AA rights for prisoners, corrupt politicians & police agents.............. This list can go on and on. WE NEED EVERY CAPABLE SOUTH AFRICAN TO CONTRIBUTE POSITIVLY, then only can we move forward.
To use a very old saying;” we need to teach each other how to fish.”

Apartheid is to blame remember? The so-called 'apartheid beneficiaries' will be sharing fish with these people for centuries to come.

We get taxed to death, our rates have been pushed rediculously high, basic services cost a small fortune eg. I just paid a R6,500 'water contribution' fee to UGU before I could have a water line installed so that people in the townships can leave taps on to flood the streets, THEN I paid for my own connection and water. What BS is this?
I have also just been told I must pay R4,000 rates a year for a small vacant plot with no road access, public sewerage, street lights, power lines or garbage disposal. What the hell?
We get milked for all we are worth to support the poor so please don't tell me I need to give more.

White people in south africa are the biggest tippers in the world. We tip the car guard to protect our cars 5 bucks a pop, we tip the petrol attendant 5 bucks everytime we fill up, we usually give way more than 10% tip at resturants, we buy tons of useless #### on the side of the road so we can support the guys whos government has deserted him. I think your statement is very presumtuous and antaginistic, I wonder if you even pay tax!

I agree with Ian and Jono here... speaking as one of many progressive young coloureds, and by that I mean one who grew up in a ghetto has a tertiary education and has had the benefit of having traveled overseas. There are a growing number of us who follow the convention of tipping waiters, tipping the pizza delivery guy, the car guard, etc... I even support charities. And I agree that seldom do I see black people tipping. Although I have to admit it that initially it was a strange custom for me, since I don't come from an environment that promoted it. But it is something I learned over time and through my experiences. I'm certain that given the right environment and exposure it will become more commonplace... or so I hope.... Wayde");

They obviously won't make as much noise because they benefit from AA, BEE, BBBEE, quotas, land redistribtion and all that (Zim) socialist nonsence.
These people that HAVE learned how to fish don't want to loose them anymore than we do, nor should they have to, this is not a communist state, yet.
