Cell C has introduced a new, easy-to-understand range of offerings.
The Straight Up packages range in price from R30 to R800 per month, with no contract being needed.
The offerings are available in R30, R50, R100, R200, R400 and R800 increments, with users getting a set number of free minutes, text/MMS messages and data.
"For the first time customers can see exactly what they are paying for and select the package that suits them best," said Cell C CEO Alan Knott-Craig.
"For instance when you buy a Straight Up 100 package, you get 100 minutes, 100 SMSs or MMSs, and 100 MB of data anywhere, anytime for R100."
When users buy a Straight Up R50 offering, they'll get 50 minutes, 50 texts/MMS messages and 50MBs of data.
"Customers also no longer have to worry about high out-of-bundle rates. They will pay 99 cents per minute, with per second billing anywhere, anytime out of the bundle for every bundle," said Knott-Craig.
"If the customer wants a cellphone, the price of the cellphone will be calculated depending on the length of the contract period chosen; 6, 12, 18 or 24-month. Add the cellphone monthly price to the contract monthly subscription, and you have your total monthly subscription," read a press statement.
