ArcelorMittal SA may face another pricing complaint before the Competition Commission, the company said on Monday.

Earlier this year the Fruit Canners Association lodged a complaint with the Competition Commission about excessive tin-plate pricing on the part of ArcelorMittal SA.

"The complaint happened about six months ago when the increase came into effect (1 April) — since then we have dropped our price by 30 percent in line with a six months agreed review of prices — so we are not sure if they are proceeding," spokesman Sven Lunsche said.

ArcelorMittal SA may be fined 10 percent of its annual revenue and exports in a separate competition case involving the fixing of prices with other companies.
