Statistics South Africa announced that the Consumer Price Index (CPI) and Quarterly Employment Statistics (QES) will be released on 22 September at 9am and 8am respectively in order to accommodate the repo decision that afternoon.
"The times of the releases has changed. CPI, which is usually released at 11.30am, has changed to an earlier release of 9am. The QES will now be released at 8am. The change in release time is due to monetary policy committee deliberations," said Stats SA.
The rates decision is due shortly after 3pm on Tuesday.
