Momentum will expand it business to Swaziland, the insurance
operating subsidiary of FirstRand group said on Wednesday.
"The launch of this operation is yet another initiative
undertaken by Momentum which underpins our well-established
footprint in Africa," Gerhardt van der Merwe, MD of Momentum Africa
said.
He added that Momentum was now represented in 11 African
countries, including South Africa.
"Momentum currently administers over 650 000 healthcare lives
across Africa, with operations in South Africa, Lesotho, Botswana,
Mozambique, Zambia, Kenya, Ghana, Mauritius, Malawi, Namibia and
now Swaziland," Van der Merwe noted.
As part of its service offering, Momentum would introduce both
life and health products into Swaziland, he said.
