The Energy Department says higher crude oil prices are mainly to blame for the latest fuel price hike.
From Wednesday, a litre of petrol will cost between 25 and 29 cents more.
The department says from Wednesday you'll also have to fork out 42 cents more for a litre of diesel.
Illuminating paraffin and LP gas are both going up 39 cents.
The department’s Robert Maake “Seeing that even though the rand appreciated against the dollar in the period after review. When the compared it to August it was still lower than August average so as a result, it cushioned the prices by about four cents.”
