Nedbank Group on Thursday announced the appointment of Jabu Moleketi, Wendy Lucas-Bull and Malcolm Wyman as independent non-executive directors with effect from August 1.
Moleketi was South Africa''s deputy minister of finance from 2004 to 2008, and prior to this served as Gauteng MEC of finance and economic affairs for 10 years.
He has also served as chairperson of the Public Investment Corporation (PIC).
Wendy Lucas-Bull is a founder of empowerment investment company, Peotona Group Holdings. She was previously chief executive of FirstRand's retail business and prior to that an executive director of Rand Merchant Bank.
Malcolm Wyman is an executive director and CFO of SABMiller plc, a position he has held since 2001.
He was previously executive director responsible for corporate finance and acquisitions.
"These individuals have outstanding track records and we look forward to benefiting from the independent perspective and insight that they will bring to our board," said Nedbank Group chairman, Reuel Khoza.
