In Africa we have a huge tendency to "kill the goose that lays the golden egg" This, exhobitant rates proposed by Municipalities accross the country not only propose to sap any remaining disposable income - whilst lining the pockets of a few - they also are a constant sapper of energy, as one must oppose so many ongoing issues; instead of using positive energy in a rational and fair economic system

Well, somehow it had to happen because if you see in what state some of the roads are in South Africa then East Africa looks better eg. Kenia, Tanzania and Zambia looks much better!! It was a real eye opener the other day when I was travelling in the North East Freestate. They say it is only people who are drunk that drive straight. The non drunk are the ones who try to misstep the potholes I could not believe it!!!

I think this idea is another way the Govement ! Scheming to make more money and make the poor even poorer! Why can?t the do something constructive like feed the hungry children ?.

Regarding the proposed toll roads, this is once again an example of incompetent decision-making without adequate research being conducted on the consequences. Our floundering leaders are slowly sinking the ship.

As it is, the man in the street suffers to survive from day to day. Companies are doing their utmost to maintain the economy - ?what economy?. This will be the last straw in deciding to take our companies abroad or to stay. Enough is enough - damned well enough.

This is ludicrous. No salary increases as times are bad and all costs escalated now the price to get to work is getting to be higher. Where does it end?
